…especially when it’s an eventful book launch!
Since the book’s launch on August 1st, 2024, the Young Authors have had the immense pleasure and pride of:
- Presenting The Art of Giving A Crap at the Cabarrus County Schools’ district-wide RISE conference (teachers, principals, and staff members from all over the county attend this event every year!)
- Getting interviewed for the Authors Who Lead podcast by Azul Terronez, TedX speaker with 3.8 million views. (Links to the episode will be made available once we get them!)
- Earning no less than FIVE 5-star reviews on Readers’ Favorite, which enabled us to use their seal on our cover.

- Reaching #1 New Release and Top New Release on Amazon in Teen & Young Adult Nonfiction on Physical and Emotional Abuse

- Participating in numerous local book signings, with more to come.

As their old ELA teacher, I am so proud of all they have accomplished. The best part is that the story has just begun. What started uncertainly as a school book club quickly became bigger than any of us could have accurately predicted.
We have had such an outpouring of support from friends, family, and new readers that we are eager to share our story as much as we can and also continue with the series.
If you haven’t read the book yet, you can find it here.
Thank you for supporting the Young Author Project.
